    State Key Laboratory of Electroanalytical Chemistry
       State Key Laboratory of Electroanalytical Chemistry (SKLEAC) is the pioneer in the research area of electroanalytical chemistry in China. It was originated from Polarographic Laboratory in 1950, and became the CAS Open Laboratory of Electroanalytical Chemistry in 1989. In August, 2001, it was approved to be SKLEAC by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is the first State Key Laboratory in analytical chemistry in China.
        SKLEAC currently has 48 staff and 110 postdoctors and graduate students, including 1 academician of the CAS, 2 academicians of The Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS), 14 professors of which 2 were awarded National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and 7 were supported by the CAS Hundred Talents Program.
        The laboratory is equipped well with many state-of-art instruments, including Atomic force microscope, Scanning tunneling microscope, Laser induced fluorescence spectrometer, Raman Spectrometer, Laser scanning confocal microscope, and various electrochemical work stations, etc.
        During the period of 1999-2005, the members of the Laboratory have published 649 scientific papers, 135 of which in journals with impact factor larger than 3, 12 books (including monographs) and 56 patents. The members of the Laboratory have achieved 3 First-ranked Science and Technology Advancement Awards of Jilin Province and 1 First Special Contribution of Science and Technology Advancement Award of Jilin Province.

    Research Directions:
        Basic theory research of electroanalytical chemistry.
        Solid/liquid interface, liquid/liquid interface, protein direct electrochemistry, electrochemical catalysis.
        Analytical chemistry research in life sciences.
        Biomolecular recognition and biosensors, biochips, biomolecular interactions, biomolecular energy transfer theory.
        Analytical chemistry research in information and material sciences.
        Nanoelectrochemistry, microchips and microfluidic chips, functional nanomaterials and nanosensors.
        nterdisciplinary studies for new analytical chemistry methods.
        In-situ spectroelectrochemistry technology and methodology, techniques and methods in complex system analysis, development of micro-electroanalytical chemistry instrumentation.
