To celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, on the morning of July 1, CIAC solemnly held a commendation conference and special Party lecture under the theme of "Upholding Integrity, Practicing the Original Aspiration, and Shouldering the Mission Through Breakthroughs." Members of the institute's leadership team, members of the Party Committee, members of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, mid-level leading cadres, heads of primary Party organizations and branch committee members, heads of democratic parties, representatives of "Two Excellences and One Pioneer," representatives of the "50 Years in the Party" honor, representatives of the youth theoretical study group, new Party member representatives, as well as all staff Party members, student Party members, and retired Party member representatives attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Jiang Shouzhong, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection.

The conference opened with the solemn national anthem. At the meeting, Wang Xiaohui, Deputy Party Secretary (presiding) and Deputy Director, presented "50 Years in the Party" commemorative medals to representatives of veteran Party members who had reached 50 years of Party membership. Director Liu Jun and Deputy Director Zhang Xinbo presented commemorative medals to representatives honored with the titles of "Outstanding Communist Party Member" and "Outstanding Party Affairs Worker" respectively. Jiang Shouzhong presented plaques to representatives of organizations honored as "Advanced Primary Party Organizations."

Researcher Liu Xiangdong (Outstanding Communist Party Member), Associate Researcher Zhang Wei (Outstanding Party Affairs Worker), and Researcher Jian Zhongbao (Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Polymer Materials Engineering Laboratory), as representatives of the "Two Excellences and One Pioneer," delivered speeches at the conference. They expressed their determination to stay at the research front line, always bear in mind the original aspiration and mission of Party members, fully leverage the pioneering and exemplary role of Party members, and scale new heights and achieve distinction in tackling key core technologies.

To deeply inherit and promote the spirit of scientists represented by Academician Qian Baogong, and to inspire all personnel to take responsibility in the journey toward building a world science and technology powerhouse, the conference held a flag-presenting ceremony for the "Qian Baogong Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polybutylene Breakthrough Task Force." Wang Xiaohui presented the flag to the task force, and Task Force Captain Men Yongfeng, Researcher and Director of the National Key Laboratory of Polymer Science and Technology, accepted the flag on behalf of the team. He led the members in a solemn oath, committing to always uphold the spirit of scientists — "patriotism, innovation, pragmatism, dedication, collaboration, and nurturing talent" — and to strive tirelessly to seize the commanding heights of science and technology.

The conference held a Party membership oath ceremony for new members and a re-oath ceremony for all Party members. All attendees faced the Party flag to renew their original aspirations and reaffirm their mission of serving the country through science and technology.

At the meeting, Wang Xiaohui delivered a special Party lecture entitled "Studying Party History, Establishing Correct Performance Views, and Promoting Development." The lecture combined the moving stories of five generations of CPC leaders in establishing and practicing correct performance views, reviewed the touching deeds and lofty conduct of cadre model Jiao Yulu, and studied the life choices of two CAS scientists — Li Zhensheng and Xu Hongjie — who placed national needs as their highest priority. Closely linked to the institute's reform and development reality, she put forward clear requirements for how all Party members and cadres should answer three fundamental questions: "Who should establish performance views, what kind of performance views should be established, and how should performance views be established." She emphasized that all Party members at the institute should resolutely align themselves with the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core in thought, politics, and action, keep "national affairs" in mind and shoulder "national responsibilities," fulfill the mission of the main force of national strategic science and technology, write papers on the land of the motherland, and apply results where the nation needs them most — guiding the vivid practice of seizing the commanding heights of science and technology with correct performance views.

Following the lecture, Jiang Shouzhong reported on the progress of the institute's learning and education initiative on establishing and practicing correct performance views.

The conference concluded with the stirring Internationale. After the meeting, all attendees gathered to watch the live broadcast of the CPC Central Committee's conference celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Party.
