He undertook more than 20 projects including key project of “The 8th Five-year plan” and “The 9th Five-year plan”, key project of Jilin province and the project for cooperation with the local government or company. More than 20 scientific achievements have been gotten, 10 invention patents and six utility model patents have been applied. Gas sensors and gas detection instruments with more than 10 kinds and more than 30 different models have been researched and developed successfully which are applied to the detection of CO、SO2、Cl2、NO、NO2、H2S、O2、COCl2、asymmetrical dimethyl hydrazine, hydrazine, ammonia gas etc. His work progress is reported in over 40 research articles. He was the recipient of two awards from the Chinese Academy of Science and Jilin province, two patent gold metal awards and other honors. In 1993, he was approved to receive the State Council Special Allowance. In 2000, he was nominated for outstanding contribution and experts of Changchun Jilin province.
