To comprehensively implement all work deployments for the opening year of the "15th Five-Year Plan," coordinate the advancement of annual key tasks, effectively enhance management efficiency, and ensure the achievement of annual goals, the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CIAC, CAS) held its 2026 Annual Work Kickoff Meeting on February 27. Members of the institute's leadership team, directors and deputy directors of laboratories, directors and deputy directors of management, support, and industrial departments, general managers, and all functional department staff attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wang Xiaohui, Deputy Party Secretary (presiding) and Deputy Director.

At the meeting, Director Liu Jun delivered a report entitled "Review of Institute Management in 2025 and Outlook for 2026." The report comprehensively summarized the important progress and achievements made in 2025 through systematic restructuring of the management system and enhancement of management effectiveness. It objectively analyzed the new situation and challenges facing the institute's development, and, centered on the "15th Five-Year Plan" and the director's term objectives, defined the overall, key measures, and core tasks for 2026, providing clear goals and direction for the orderly conduct of work throughout the year.

Yang Fan, Director of the High-Tech Division, and Jian Zhongbao, Director of the Polymer Materials Engineering Laboratory, delivered work exchange reports, sharing their工作思路 and specific measures from the past year, and providing valuable experience and practices for all departments.

Wang Xiaohui delivered concluding remarks. She emphasized that this kickoff meeting serves both as a mobilization to refocus and consolidate collective effort, and as a deployment to define tasks and assign responsibilities. The institute will take this meeting as an opportunity to deeply implement the spirit of the CAS Annual Work Conference, enhance organizational and operational capacity around the core mission of seizing the commanding heights of science and technology, continuously improve the innovation ecosystem, and deliver high-quality completion of inspection rectification tasks. All departments should approach the year with the determination that "the opening is the decisive battle, and the start is the sprint," rise to challenges, overcome difficulties, and go all out to ensure effective implementation of all key tasks throughout the year, achieving a good start for the "15th Five-Year Plan" objectives.
