"Yuxiu Rongchun — Bioanalysis Jingjing Forum" Successfully Held at CIAC

Apr 20,2026

From April 16 to 18, 2026, the "Yuxiu Rongchun — Bioanalysis Jingjing Forum" was successfully held at the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CIAC, CAS). The forum was hosted by CIAC and organized by the State Key Laboratory of Electroanalytical Chemistry. It attracted more than 150 representatives from over 30 research institutes, universities, and enterprises across China to discuss cutting-edge developments in the field of bioanalysis.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Li Bingling, Researcher and Director of the State Key Laboratory of Electroanalytical Chemistry. CIAC Director Liu Jun and Academician Yang Xiurong delivered opening addresses. In his speech, Liu Jun emphasized that bioanalysis is a core frontier field at the intersection of life sciences and chemistry. The State Key Laboratory of Electroanalytical Chemistry, under the leadership of Academicians Wang Erkang, Dong Shaojun (TWAS), and Yang Xiurong, has accumulated profound expertise in biosensing and analytical detection, cultivated a high-caliber research team, and produced a series of influential research outcomes, providing strong support and making important contributions to the innovative development of bioanalytical science in China.

Academician Yang Xiurong noted that emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, multi-omics, and multimodal fusion are accelerating their iteration, bringing unprecedented development opportunities to the field of bioanalysis. At the same time, challenges remain in technological breakthroughs and the translation of research achievements, requiring industry peers to build consensus, pool wisdom, and collaborate to jointly promote the high-quality development of bioanalysis.

The forum was built around the core mission of "Focusing on the Frontier, Breaking Through Innovation, and Passing on the Torch," establishing a high-level academic exchange platform for the bioanalysis field. The forum specially invited 11 renowned experts and scholars to deliver presentations, sharing the latest research findings and frontier explorations from their teams:

• Professor Cui Hua, University of Science and Technology of China

• Professor Tian Yang, East China Normal University

• Associate Professor Liu Yang, Tsinghua University

• Researcher Pei Renjun, Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics, CAS

• Professor Luo Liqiang, Shanghai University

• Professor Cui Xiaoqiang, Jilin University

• Researcher Yu Ping, Institute of Chemistry, CAS

• Professor Wang Xiaolei, Nanchang University / Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University

• Researcher Zhang Qiang, CIAC

• Researcher Du Yan, CIAC

• Associate Researcher Dewen Wang, CIAC

Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges and intellectual exchange on cutting-edge scientific issues in the field of bioanalysis, including novel methods for chemiluminescence analysis and imaging, organoid technology development, brain-computer interface and brain imaging technology, nanomaterial catalytic regulation mechanisms, portable biosensing device development, and in vitro molecular diagnostic technology applications. The forum presented an academic feast combining scientific rigor, innovation, and practicality, effectively broadening research horizons, inspiring new research ideas, and building consensus for development.

The successful holding of this "Yuxiu Rongchun — Bioanalysis Jingjing Forum" represents a concrete measure by CIAC to leverage its disciplinary strengths and build academic exchange platforms, as well as a vivid practice of inheriting the institute's excellent research traditions in electroanalytical chemistry and promoting the high-quality development of bioanalytical science. Looking ahead, CIAC will continue to focus on frontier directions in bioanalysis, deepen collaborative partnerships with research institutes, universities, and enterprises across the country, and fully leverage the research support capabilities of the State Key Laboratory of Electroanalytical Chemistry to seize the commanding heights of science and technology in the field of bioanalysis.
