Prof. Zhang Lihe (CAS member) of Peking University Health Science Center paid an academic visit to CIAC on June, 9th, 2010.

Prof. Zhang was invited to deliver a lecture with the title of “NAD+ and Its Metabolites in Cell Signaling”. The lecturing session was presided over by Prof. Wang Erkang (CAS member). About 300 CIAC scientists and postgraduates attended the lecture.

In his lecture, Prof. Zhang briefly reviewed the history and current situation of the studies on chemicobiology, introduced his group’s recent progress in different cADPR small-molecular probes’ mechanism in intracellar CA2+ release, and then explained in detail the action mode and receptor type of NAD+ in cell signaling, and its influences as well. After the lecture, Prof. Zhang Lihe accepted the certificate of honorary professorship of CIAC.
