HONG Maochun, CAS academician, director of Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FIRSM), together with administrative office heads of the institute paid a visit to Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry on March 14, 2012. Members of the board of CASTEC, a holding company of FIRSM, came as well for the exchange.

During their stay, Prof. HONG and his colleagues were invited to visit the exhibition hall and the three state key laboratories of the CIAC.  

The two institutes hold a discussion meeting after the visit. The topics were focused on orientation of the research institutions, development target, evaluation system, innovative management and culture construction. New rare earth materials and LED industrialization were also involved, and both of the institutes expressed their wishes for further cooperation.
