According to the recent released data by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC), CIAC is leading the way of the domestic institutes on the ISTIC list of the most productive research institutions.

CIAC ranked the second nationwide in terms of its international paper numbers and citations. In terms of “Outstanding Papers”, which is to reflect the quality of the papers, CIAC is the champion of domestic research institutions.

Each year, the ISTIC tracks the papers published by Chinese research institutions in the previous year, and the ISTIC analysts rank the most competitive ones based on their database. The performance of a research institution is assessed by the numbers and citations of the papers they published in journals as well as other indicators. The ISTIC ranking is one of the most authoritative standards of research institutions’ academic performance of China.
