Dr. AN Lijia was elected CAS Academician in the field of Chemistry on December 7, 2015. In the past three years, 3 CIAC scientists were honored CAS membership, the other two, being ZHANG Hongjie and YANG Xiurong, are also prestigious chemists in their respective research fields. Currently, there are 7 CAS Fellow on the faculty of CIAC, and 21 used to work or study at CIAC.

Dr.AN was born in 1964 at Qianguo county, Jilin province. From 1982 to 1992, he received his bachelor, master and Ph. D at department of chemistry, Jilin University. Since 1992, he has been working at the State Key Laboratory of Polymer Physics and Chemistry. He successively held the posts of research associate, professor, Ph.D Supervisor, member of academic and academic degree committee of the institute, assistant to director and deputy director of the institute. From 1995 to 1997, supported by Humboldt Foundation Scholarship, he was a research fellow of the institute of physical chemistry, Mainz University in Germany. From 1998 to 1999, he was a senior visiting scholar at the department of chemical engineering of Hongkong University.

Dr. An Lijia has been engaged in the basic research in the fields of polymer physics and polymer materials physics. he has made some innovative achievements in polymer statistical thermodynamics, computer simulation of complex polymer multiscale, computer simulation of polymer processing, polymer physical sol-gel transition behavior, polymer surface phase separation of polymer crystallization and polymer blends under external fields. More than 100 scientific papers have been published in SCI enlisted journals such as Adv . Mater. Macromolecule and J.Chem.Phys.,etc. 10 more invitation lectures have been made home and abroad. Nine chapters of academic monographs have been written or translated. Nine patents have been filed.
